A Timeless Wedding Story: Stephanie and Wes
We’re overjoyed to share the story of Stephanie and Wes, a couple whose love story began in the Bay Area and culminated in a breathtaking Romantic San Francisco Wedding at Flood Mansion. Their journey is one of surprise, emotion, and timeless elegance.
The Proposal
In October 2022, Stephanie and Wes traveled to La Jolla, CA, for a wedding. Stephanie caught the bouquet at the reception—a moment that was secretly orchestrated by the bride and bridesmaids, who knew Wes was planning to propose soon.
Their journey continued with a scenic drive up the California coast, and during their stop in Big Sur, Wes got down on one knee. “I was completely caught off guard,” Stephanie recalls. “In the excitement, I said ‘yes’ before he could even finish asking!” As they savored the moment together, a kind stranger appeared to capture a photo of the unforgettable proposal.
The Venue
Stephanie and Wes chose Flood Mansion for their Romantic San Francisco Wedding, a historic building perched atop a hill with stunning views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. “It was the first venue we saw, and nothing else could compare,” Stephanie shares. The timeless beauty of the location perfectly matched the vision for their day.
Style & Theme
The wedding embraced a “classical with a tropical twist” theme. The couple incorporated unique details, including edible cupcake flower centerpieces by Baked Blooms, a shop close to their hearts.
Favorite Memories
The ceremony stood out as a highlight for both Stephanie and Wes. “We asked a close friend to officiate, and he did an incredible job,” Stephanie says. The personal touch added even more meaning to their vows.
The Dress
Stephanie’s vision for her wedding dress was one of clean, timeless elegance. The Blammo-Biamo Velita Dress checked every box with its sleek lines and removable train. “Wearing it, I felt like an old Hollywood starlet,” Stephanie reminisces. The dress perfectly echoed the classic architecture of Flood Mansion, blending sophistication with a touch of glamour.
Advice for Future Brides
Stephanie’s advice for future brides is heartfelt: “Your wedding is all about you and your partner, so make it what you want it to be, not what others expect. You can’t please everyone, so focus on making sure you’re happy on your special day.”
Captured Perfectly
The magical day was beautifully documented by photographer Xenia Park, whose talent for capturing heartfelt moments made the memories last forever. Stephanie and Wes’s love story is an inspiration, and we’re so grateful they chose Luxx Nova to play a part in their special day.
