The WONÁ Concept Bridal Style
Corset backs, shaped cups and defined waistlines appear across mermaid, A-line, ball gown and sheath silhouettes. Sheer lace can leave boning and corset structure visible, while satin and mikado place more emphasis on the shape of the neckline, waist and skirt.
Satin and mikado are used in gowns where sculpted shape, folds and draping carry much of the design. Chantilly lace, pearls, beadwork and three-dimensional appliqué appear on more detailed styles, often layered over visible corsetry or sheer sections of the bodice.
Detachable overskirts, capes, boleros, sleeves and bows also appear throughout the house’s bridal work, often designed specifically to accompany the gown. The wider bridal range also includes asymmetric necklines, open backs, slits, shorter dresses and jumpsuits alongside more traditional full-length gowns.
Low backs, lace-up closures and extended trains feature prominently in many WONÁ designs. On fitted gowns, the skirt stays close through the hips before opening into the train, while fuller silhouettes place more of the volume below the structured bodice.
The amount of decoration can change considerably from one WONÁ gown to another, but the bodice usually remains clearly defined. Smooth mikado keeps the neckline, waist, and skirt shape prominent, while lace, pearls, and appliqué create a more ornate surface over similarly structured forms.
