Photographed by @mccaulleyphotography, this dreamy late-summer celebration was filled with heartfelt moments, stunning lilac tones, and personal touches that made the entire weekend unforgettable. Jordyne and Alex brought all their favorite people together for a destination-style Lavender wedding in the Okanagan, where they tied the knot at the breathtaking Spirit Ridge Resort in Osoyoos.

A Surprise Proposal at a Childhood Waterfall

On a road trip to Tofino, Alex made a spontaneous stop at a waterfall Jordyne used to visit as a child. “It was such a surprise!” Jordyne shared. The unexpected proposal made the moment even more meaningful and set the tone for a wedding filled with thoughtful emotion and nostalgia.

Lilac Tones and Summer Vibes

With a soft lavender and white palette, the wedding embraced the heat of late summer with elegant yet playful touches. “It was HOT,” Jordyne noted, “so we made small little lavender-styled fans for everyone to have.” The details stayed light and airy, perfectly complementing the resort’s desert-meets-lakeside backdrop.

A Dress Made for Dancing (and Pockets!)

Jordyne wore the “Mildred” gown by Natalia Romanova from Luxx Nova Bridal. “It’s so funny because the dress I bought was the first one I tried on—no joke!” she laughed. “Nothing compared. It made me feel like a princess but was still breathable for the hot weather. And it had pockets, which was so cool!”

Personal Touches and Unforgettable Moments

From an emotional a cappella performance by Jordyne’s dad to a private first look with her groom, the day was packed with memories they’ll never forget. One standout moment? “We made each guest an individualized card with a photo of us and them, and a big thank you for making the trip. That was pretty special.”

Late into the evening, just when guests needed a second wind, chicken nuggets and fries arrived at 10 p.m. “It was kinda amazing!” Jordyne said.

Advice for Future Brides

“No matter how much you plan, something will not go as planned on the day of,” Jordyne shared. “Remember the ‘why’ of the whole celebration and know that all that truly matters is that you get to marry the love of your life. When you let go of all the other things, the day just gets so much better!”
